The Story Behind Significant Journey Purses by Kathy Lengyel
Kathy first started making bags for her own personal enjoyment then women started to stop her and inquire where she bought her bag. The constant query is what made her decide to pursue making handbags for women.
The design process starts with a pencil sketch by Kathy Lengyel. The sketch is scanned and re-drawn on the computer as an illustration with all detail and color. The artwork is then taken into an embroidery software program and digitized for embroidery stitches. The design is then taken to the embroidery machine embroidered on multiple layers of stabilizer, batting and material. The embroidered pieces are machine sewn together to make the bag.
